The SATT AxLR celebrates the arrival of two new shareholders, the Occitania Region and Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, its seventh anniversary, it was created on August 1, 2012, and its results that led to its new financing of € 22 million.
As Philippe Nérin explains: "It is the trust capital built for years with Georges Frêche, Christian Bourquin, Jean-Pierre Mourre, Damien Alary, Carole Delga and Philippe Saurel who allowed us to transform it into social capital. The Region and the Metropolis are now in the capital of the SATT AxLR up to 10.1% ". Simultaneously, during its seven years of existence, the SATT AxLR has contractualized its relations with other actors of research and innovation: Montpellier and Nîmes University Teaching Centers, Alès School of Mines, CIRAD , INRA, CEA and, very recently, the University of Reunion. Finally, we integrated the LRI incubator.
In seven years, nationally, a SATT has disappeared, several are in probationary period of one year and the entire network has counted 25 presidents. The SATT AxLR has demonstrated its ability to federate. "This is an extremely important and positive marker of confidence in the evaluation phase that has just been completed, since € 22 million of additional credits have been granted to us, totaling € 67.2 million since our creation," said Philippe Nérin.
To date, 150 innovation programs have been funded for a total of more than € 45 million and 75 start-ups, all from or related to laboratories within the SATT AxLR scope, have been supported.
