The SATT AxLR is deployed on the Mediterranean arc of Occitanie. Its purpose is to increase the intensity of the transfer of technologies resulting from public research while perfecting the innovation process. As part of its development, it recruits: Postdoc position in the electrocatalytic conversion of CO2 to ethylene (H/F) |
Our group has recently reported promising strategies for the electrocatalytic conversion of CO2 to valuable products such as carbon monoxide (ACS Catalysis, 2021, 11, 20, 12701-12711; ACS Nano 2021, 15, 4, 7682-7693) or ethylene (Nature Communications, 2021, 12, 7210). The successful candidate will be responsible for scaling up this CO2 conversion technology using a membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) flow cell with a view to launching a startup. Specifically, he/she will address the following main challenges: 1) scaling up the electrochemical reduction system, 2) achieving ultra-long stability.
The ambition of this project is to launch a start-up that will enhance industrial CO2 emissions.
Lieu de travail : Montpellier
Work context:
The research will be carried out at the European Membrane Institute (IEM, CNRS UMR5635, UM, ENSCM) of the University of Montpellier. Our group is equipped with state-of-the-art dedicated facilities, including ex-situ and in-situ characterization techniques to carry out the projects. The IEM is a world leading institute in the field of membrane science, with excellent technical support and in-house facilities for membrane fabrication and characterisation. The institute is affiliated with the University of Montpellier, and is a member of the Pôle Chimie Balard, the Carnot Institute Chimie Balard and the Labex CheMiSyst.
